Accessibility Statement for The Jump Pad
This is an accessibility statement from The Jump Pad.
Our Goal of Being Equally Accessible to All
The Jump Pad desires to provide a positive customer experience to all our customers, and we aim to promote accessibility and inclusion. Our goal is to permit anyone to successfully consume and interact with any content on our website. Whether you are using assistive technologies like a screen reader, a magnifier, voice recognition software, or captions for videos, our goal is to make your use of our website a successful and enjoyable experience.
Everyday our staff prioritizes and devotes significant resources to consistently enhance the accessibility of our website. Although we are proud of the efforts that we have completed and that are in-progress, we are always eager to hear feedback to identify additional ways that we can get closer to the goal of true equal access for all.
While we recognize that there are many different types of screen reading software, many cannot afford expensive options. Accordingly, we are continually tuning our website to work with the free open source screen reading software at nvaccess.org.
In addition, personal devices whether they be; phone, tablet, computer, or otherwise, have built in features that can enhance accessibility. Below we have linked a list of resources that allows for the accessibility features already available on those devices to be enabled, to improve access to our website.
If you have difficulty using or accessing any aspect of this website please contact us as we are happy to work with you and upon request, to make reasonable accommodations to provide the information, item, or transaction you seek through a communication method that is accessible for you.
Measures to support accessibility
The Jump Pad Inc takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
- Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices.
- Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
- Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
- Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
- Include accessibility toolbar to help with any potential accessibility oversights until resolved.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Jump Pad is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes. Re-authentication after a session expires does not cause loss of data.
We are regularly looking to improve our site and reassess content and functionality for improved accessibility as well as reviewing new contributor content and uploads for compliance as well.
